Bisho Kurosawa, Nakagin Capsule Tower
2017

One of my favourite buildings, yet still largely unknown to the average Tokyo dweller. Perhaps they are just so used to the weird and wonderful, that it just gets overlooked to a degree - and yet it is still a classic, hugely iconic to anyone who appreciates architecture. You can even rent an apartment out with AirBnB.

ARCHI-DEPOT Museum
2017

A museum of sorts dedicated to the preservation of architectural models, it is surely one of the must see attraction for the architect visitor to Tokyo. Unflashy, but appealing to raw curiosity of some of Tokyo's most prized buildings, the museum gives insight to the thoughts, construction and/or process involved in their creation - an ingenious idea from the founders of the museum, free up office space, preserve fragile models and put them show.

Concrete
2017

Apart from the corrugated roof poking out from the top, this was a serendipitous find for classical concrete modernism. There is no information online about the building, but it looked like it's being used as a residential building, and I wonder as to the detailing of the interior - Japan needs an open house week, so all the curious architects of the world can can put their minds at ease.

I haven't quiet captured the elegance of this building, but it is a lovely example of Modernist Architecture - clean, simple lines. Further because Japan is such a clean country any way, the building sits in its original perfection. Defiantly check it out out on google, or in person.
